ArmsUp Motorsports driver Luigi Biangardi had a solid week during the opening round of the USF2000 Cooper Tires Winterfest held at Sebring International Raceway. The Cooper Tires Winterfest is the USF2000 Championship Series' pre season championship that runs over one week in Florida and has two different events. Over the two day opening event Biangardi drove his Injectit.com/Gulfstream Properties/Slick Locks backed Van Diemen to an eighth and a pair of sixth place finishes in the three races.

ArmsUp Motorsports and Luigi Biangardi completed a successful test last week at Roebling Road just outside of Savannah, Georgia. The test served as a shakedown for the first of the team's Mazda powered USF2000 cars as well as ArmsUp's first opportunity to work directly with Biangardi.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – ArmsUp Motorsports, fresh off winning the 2011 SCCA Formula Continental National Championship, has signed Luigi Biangardi to lead their Cooper Tires Presents the USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda effort for the 2012 Season. Biangardi, a 15 year-old, will pilot the ArmsUp Motorsports prepared Gulfstream Properties, Inject-it.com backed No. 15 car in his quest to claim the 2012 USF2000 National Championship.
2012 will mark Biangardi's first full season in the USF2000 Championship after gaining experience with a limited schedule in 2011. The Chicago teenager was quick to make an impression on the series regulars by scoring a season best fourth place result at the Baltimore Grand Prix. Biangardi will look to build on that experience to contend for race wins from the start of the season. Before entering the Mazda Road to Indy Biangardi competed in the Skip Barber race series scoring multiple regional series wins and claiming a fourth place finish at Road America in his lone Skip Barber National Championship event.

ArmsUp Motorsports, the reigning SCCA Club Racing National Champion team have announced their intentions to enter the USF2000 Series Championship in 2012. The team, which ran the 2011 Winter Series and select USF2000 races over the last two seasons, is set to enter the Mazda Road to Indy ladder system full time in 2012.
The team is currently in negotiations with several different drivers and is aiming to have their driver lineup finalized shortly after the start of the New Year. The team is also currently searching for talented mechanics for the 2012 Championship. After two years of high expectations and near misses ArmsUp Motorsports and Revere Greist had everything fall their way as the combination scored their first SCCA National Championship at the famed SCCA National Championship Runoffs in the Formula Continental class. Coming out on top of a three way battle for the lead, Greist led his teammate Jerry Szykulski across the line giving ArmsUp a one-two finish in the SCCA's largest race of the year. Capping off the strong ArmsUp showing Rick Balsley came home fifth after starting from the eighth spot earning his best Runoff's result to date.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – ArmsUp Motorsports made its first appearance in the USF2000 Championship Series this past weekend at Road America with Revere Greist in the Championship division and Jim Victor and Rick Balsley running in the National class for SCCA spec cars. Greist spent most of his weekend near the top of the time charts however bad luck in the races kept the results from showing the veteran's true speed. Both Victor and Balsley fared well in their USF2000 debut with Victor scoring a second and a third place finish while Balsley added a third and fifth to the tally.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – ArmsUp Motorsports scored a win and a podium finish last weekend during the SCCA Kettle Moraine Double Regional at Road America. Jose Paredes claimed the Formula Atlantic (FA) race win on Sunday with John Dickmann adding a third place result in the Formula Continental (FC) class.
