This week, ArmsUp Motorsports makes the annual journey down to St. Petersburg, Florida for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda kicks off its 2015 championship with a double header on the temporary street circuit in central downtown.

The event will be the first of the race season to feature the entire Mazda Road to Indy, a motorsports ladder system designed to provide aspiring race car drivers with a concise support system to move from the beginning steps of racing all the way to the Verizon IndyCar Series. The Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda is the first step in the program, consisting of 16 races across North America, utilizing single seat race cars with exposed wheels, an open cockpit and 2 liter engine.

As a race team dedicated to the development of tomorrow's starts, ArmsUp Motorsports returns for its third full season in professional 2 liter racing. Last year, the team won the celebrated Night Before the (Indianapolis) 500, and also earned the Rookie of the Year honors.

The team brings ArmsUp veteran James Dayson, a Canadian Racer with several years of experience in the series. Dayson previously raced in in the USF2000 National Class, which has since been merged within the main class of competition. German racer Keyvan Andres Soori returns to the championship for his second year of competition, after winning the 2013-2014 Skip Barber Winter Series Championship. Also a graduate of Skip Barber Racing School, rookie Max Hanratty will fill the third seat for the 2015 race season.

The field of drivers will attend various seminars their first day on track, learning about various aspects of the business from media training to the importance of audiology to the sport.
