ArmsUp Motorsports was formed in 1995 by long time Skip Barber instructor Gregg Borland. ArmsUp Motorsports began as the marketing company for Gregg's professional racing career. In 1998 ArmsUp Motorsports entered the prep shop business with a 1988 Renard Formula Continental for a friend of Borland's, John Braun.

Since its beginnings as prep shop in 1998, ArmsUp Motorsports has grown into a full service prep shop and race team for Formula Continental, Formula Atlantic and Vintage racing. Today ArmsUp Motorsports houses 10 racecars in a 10,000 square foot facility just east of the famed Road America race course in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.

Brent Borland, Gregg's brother, also began his racing career as a mechanic at the Skip Barber Racing School. The Jim Russell Racing School provided Brian McCulloch with his start in racing. Brian next worked at the Barber Dodge Pro Series as a race mechanic, then at PTG Racing on both the team's Formula BMWs and BMW M3s. Brian joined ArmsUp Motorsports in the spring of 2006 to head up mechanic duties on the ArmsUp Formula Atlantic cars.

Steve Levinsohn
Lead Mechanic - Formula Continental

Steve Levinsohn brings almost a quarter century of experience to the ArmsUp Motorsports team. His career began at the Skip Barber Racing School as a mechanic in 1984. Progressing through the ranks in Skip, Steve would become the Chief Mechanic of the Barber Dodge Pro Series from 1997 to 2001. Steve's first driver in the Barber Dodge Pro Series was none other than Juan Pablo Montoya. Bookending his Pro Series career were stints with two Champ Car teams; Hogan Racing (1997) and America Spirit Racing (2003). After working with several Star Mazda teams Levinsohn became team manager for BK Motorsports IMSA Lites program when they won the series Championship in 2007. Steve then joined ArmsUp Motorsports in the winter of 2008 to manage the team's growing fleet of Formula Continentals.

Scott Edgell
Mechanic - Formula Continental

Scott Edgell's racing career began in 2000, but not as a mechanic. The South Carolina native campaigned his own Legends car from 2000 to 2006 in the Charlotte area. In April of 2005 Scott joined the Skip Barber Racing School as a mechanic and quickly worked his way up to crew chief of the school car fleet. In August of 2007 Scott joined BK Motorsports' IMSA Lites program as the car chief on the team's championship winning car. Scott then joined ArmsUp Motorsports in the off-season as the team's Formula Continental mechanic working along-side Levinsohn.
