St. Pete is one of my favourite tracks. For a street circuit it is so smooth, something which is uncommon. The weather is usually amazing and often has some rain thrown in to mix things up a little bit more. One of my most enjoyable aspects of the event is the crowd, a very knowledgeable yet passionate crowd that really embraces the event and the drivers. I always have a blast when I come here. After a successful race season and a 19 week long off season, ArmsUp Motorsports has completed their final pre-season USF2000 test at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The two day test for the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda comprised of three practice sessions on the 2.21, 14-mile turn course. The 2014 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda race season concluded last weekend at Sonoma Raceway. ArmsUp Motorsports Finished the season in second place in the team championship point standings, up from 10th in the prior year. With the driving lineup of Aaron Telitz, Peter Portante and James Dayson, the team earned eight podium finishes and an additional four top-5 finishes in 14 races. Read More

Almost two months have gone by since ArmsUp Motorsports celebrated their first USF2000 race win in Round 7 at Lucas Oil Raceway. Rounds 8 and 9 of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda take place this weekend at the Honda Indy Toronto. The past month has been a busy one for the Wisconsin based team, with several tests and new partnerships formed during the break. Saturday at Lucas Oil Raceway, ArmsUp Motorsports earned their first overall win in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda. Twenty-two year old rookie Aaron Telitz started in 6th place to win his first race on an oval. The event proved to be a strong run for the Wisconsin based team, as Peter Portante raced strong to gain considerable ground from his 13th place starting position to finish 7th. An impressive pass on Jake Eidson in traffic earned Portante the RePlay XD Move of the Race Award. Mazda Scholarship Winner Telitz Joins ArmsUp Motorsports in 2014

Today ArmsUp Motorsports announced the addition of American Aaron Telitz as the third driver to the team for the 2014 season of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda. Alongside fellow American Peter Portante and Canadian James Dayson, the 22 year old Wisconsin native will compete for the full season, representing sponsor Rice Lake Weighing Systems. Read More
