Posted on June 22, 2018

Taking part in the official Mazda Road to Indy (MRTI) Series test last week at Road America, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin based Arms Up Motorsports will be back at Road America this weekend for their home event. Taking on a stout field of more than 25 drivers in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, Starkey Hearing Foundation pilot Max Peichel and late race entry driver Dakota Dickerson are prepared to take the team to the top in Elkhart Lake.

"We had a good test here last week with Max during the Series Test. I don't look into the results too much as we never know if people were pushing to their max, when and if they had new tires and many other major factors," explained Gregg Borland, Owner of the championship winning outfit. "We also welcome Dakota Dickerson to Arms Up Motorsports and are looking forward to the wheel-to-wheel action on Saturday and Sunday."

Located in the Kettle Moraine Region and the town of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, the 14-corner, 4.014-mile Road America is one of the famed facilities in the United States and a favorite amongst the Road to Indy teams and drivers.

"The entire Mazda Road to Indy program is in competition this weekend so it is big for the series, drivers, teams and fans," added Borland. "Drivers in the USF2000 program are looking to perform at the very best in the hopes of impressing Pro Mazda team owners and it is our goal to help them achieve the success they deserve."

Competing alongside the Pirelli World Challenge, Verizon IndyCar Series and complete Mazda Road to Indy program, Arms Up Motorsports will kick off the action packed weekend this coming Friday with one practice session. Peichel, Dickerson and Arms Up Motorsports will also complete two qualifying sessions on Friday afternoon leading up to the weekend's wheel-to-wheel action. Round six will take place on Saturday afternoon while round seven will commence first thing Sunday morning, just ahead of both the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires and Verizon IndyCar Series races.
